Who is responsible

Châteauguay Connect, operated by Sylvain Cossette, who is the person in charge of the protection of personal information. Contact: inquiries@chateauguayconnect.com.

What we collect and why

Through the quote form: name, email, phone (optional), municipality, service, description and an optional photo. Purpose: to handle your request and, with your consent, pass it to up to 2 independent local providers so they can quote. Nothing else, no resale to marketers.

Who receives it

  • Independent providers, only if you ticked the consent box.
  • Our host (Hostinger), which stores the site and the requests. Data is hosted in a data centre located in Boston, Massachusetts (United States). A privacy impact assessment was completed before this transfer outside Québec.
  • Cloudflare (Turnstile service), which checks that the form is sent by a person and not a bot. Turnstile analyses technical browser signals (IP address, TLS fingerprint, user agent) when you open the form; this is strictly necessary for the form’s security and is therefore not subject to the cookie choice. Data may be processed outside Québec, including in the United States. Cloudflare also uses these signals to improve its bot detection (Turnstile privacy policy).
  • Google Analytics, only if you accept measurement cookies (data processed in the United States).

How long

Requests and photos are deleted 90 days after receipt at the latest.

Cookies

No measurement cookie before your choice (the Turnstile security check on the form is strictly necessary and is not affected by it). If you accept, Google Analytics sets measurement cookies (_ga, _ga_*) for up to 6 months; you can change your mind via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of each page. Our host Hostinger’s CDN security check may appear before a page; it may set a technical cookie and load a font (Google Fonts) before any choice. This processing by the host is strictly necessary for the site’s security.
